IGHALO VOW TO TRANSFER AGGRESSION TO CHELSEA

Four years after losing out in FA Cup semifinal with his former club Watford, Man United on loan striker Odion Ighalo, is desperate to make amends and secure a place in the final of the competition.

According to Ighalo, a place in the final of the FA Cup will make his dreams perfect.

But there is a stumbling block for Ighalo and his teammates and that is Chelsea. There is no better time for Ighalo and his Man United teammates to face rivals Chelsea other than now as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are unbeaten in 19 games. But Ighalo believes the game against Chelsea will be tough.

However, the Nigerian striker won’t want to suffer another heartbreak as he did with Watford in 2016 when they lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace, missing out on the chance to face Manchester United in the final who eventually won the trophy.

Ahead of Sunday's semi-final against Chelsea, Ighalo said: “It was a difficult one to take against Crystal Palace.

“If we’d have won, we’d have played United in the final. Unfortunately, we lost.

“To get to the final would be great for me in my life and my career.“It was a bitter one to take but this is an opportunity again in an FA Cup semi-final to make it right and go forward to the final.

“Now I have the opportunity to get to the final with the club I’ve supported all my life.

“It would make my dreams perfect. It will be tough, but we have what it takes.”

Ighalo is yet to start a game for Manchester United in the Premier League.

Despite his five goals and one assist in 14 appearances for Man United, Ighalo has now found playing time at the club very hard to come by.
