FEDPOFFA student sentence to nine months imprisonment for fraud.

Today 10th of December Justice Mahmood Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High Court has sentenced a 23-year-old student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, to nine months imprisonment for internet fraud.

An HND one student of Federal Polytechnic Offa Oladipo Opeyemi Juwon was sentenced to nine month imprisonment after pleading guilty on a three-count charge bordering on cheating and attempted to cheat which is punishable under Section 324 of Penal Code Law of Kwara State.

According to the judge, the imprisonment would commence on the 23rd of December, 2020 due to the convict involvement in an ongoing examinations at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa.

The judge ordered him to forfeit his mobile phones and restitute his victims.
